According to talkSPORT’s Alex Crook, Fulham are now considering a late move for Newcastle United winger Miguel Almiron.
Crook states that Almiron’s departure could allow Newcastle to finally pull the trigger and sign a new right winger, with it widely reported that we may need to move on the Paraguayan to make room for another attacker, alongside a much-needed centre-back.
Ben Jacobs has also confirmed Fulham’s interest tonight, adding that Newcastle are looking to recoup £15m for the former Atlanta star.
Almiron was linked with a departure back in January, but was said to be hesitant over a move to Saudi Arabia. MLS side Charlotte FC attempted to sign Almiron earlier this month, but could not meet the financial demands to secure the 30-year-old.
Earlier this week, Eddie Howe confirmed that at that moment in time, Newcastle’s transfer business would NOT allow for both a new centre back and right winger to come in, but as the window soon draws to a close, could Almiron’s transfer change all that? It’ll be interesting to see if he features tonight.
