Eddie Howe has been speaking to the media this morning from the club’s training base, offering an update on the fitness front ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Everton.
As expected, Alexander Isak (toe) will miss the game at Goodison Park; a blow but one that felt pretty inevitable when he was left out of the Sweden squad for the upcoming international break. Callum Wilson is also out once again, but it’s hoped both he and Isak could be back for Brighton (19th October).
Fabian Schar is fine and fit to play, calming any fears around his availability after the Swiss star was taken off in the closing stages of Tuesday’s cup win over Wimbledon. In other good news, Nick Pope and Kieran Trippier are also OK despite sitting out our midweek game.
Martin Dubravka (bruised knee) looks set to miss out – the fact he’s not been called up by Slovakia is a telling sign – and Lewis Miley, Sven Botman, Jamaal Lascelles and Matt Targett also remain absent.
Howe on injuries – “Alex Isak will not make the game. We hope he will be back with Callum Wilson for the game after the international break.
“Nick Pope, Kieran Trippier and Fabian Schär should be OK. Martin Dúbravka took a nasty whack to the knee but it won’t be serious.”
