The Minnesota Twins missed the postseason after one of the biggest collapses in recent history.
After being in a playoff position for most of the season, the Twins fell out of a wild-card position and missed the postseason after finishing with a record of 82-80 and coming in fourth place in the American League Central.
With three teams from the AL Central making the postseason, the Twins will likely have a lot of competition in 2025 if they want to win a division title.
The Twins have not made any acquisitions thus far in the offseason, but their President Derek Falvey revealed his expectations for the team in 2025.
“We feel like we have a team that can go compete this year,” Falvey said via MLB Network Radio on Sirius XM.

The Twins won the AL Central in 2023, and have won the title three times in the last six seasons.
Falvey explains the lack of moves made this offseason by saying that they believe in the players they have and the leadership in the clubhouse.
Starting pitcher Pablo Lopez and shortstop Carlos Correa are named by Falvey as the leaders on the team, and he believes the team can compete for a division title in 2025.
The Twins only have two World Series titles in franchise history with the most recent coming back in 1991.
Even though the AL Central had three teams make the postseason in 2024, Falvey believes the talent of the Twins can compete with all of them.
If the Twins can stay healthy, they could be a team to watch next season.
