In a recent interview featured in Rolling Stone on January 21, the 24-year-old singer of “Aquamarine,” Addison Rae, discussed her rising career in pop music as well as her romantic relationship with Omer Fedi.

Describing herself, Rae stated, “The Libra in me is a hopeless romantic.” Her love story with the acclaimed record producer, also aged 24, began when they made their relationship Instagram official back in August 2021. Over three years later, their bond appears to be just as firm.

Feeling increasingly scrutinized for every venture outside TikTok made it hard for Addison to regain confidence: “I pondered over how I would reach a place where I could embrace this journey authentically and present my best self,” she articulated.
Finally finding footing again saw great success when “Diet Pepsi” led her onto the Billboard Hot 100 charts—a monumental achievement showcasing resilience after adversity.
Musical Inspiration Awaits
For the creation of her new single “Aquamarine,” inspiration stemmed from both natural beauty and emotion surrounding its imagery: ”The term is so elegant and evokes such stunning visuals; I wanted to craft something that embodies those sensations,” explained Rae passionately.
Currently focusing intently on completing her album while gearing up for an appearance alongside stars like Aubrey Plaza and Ryan Reynolds in the upcoming comedy Animal Friends scheduled for release on October 10th.
