Authorities are conducting an investigation following a fire incident that occurred at a residence owned by Keir Starmer in north London early on Monday morning.
The London Fire Brigade responded to the call shortly after 1:30 AM. Although the entrance to the home sustained damage, fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The Prime Minister, who lives with his family at his official residence in Downing Street, is reportedly renting out the four-bedroom house.
At the scene in Kentish Town, a police cordon was established, and officers, along with fire brigade investigators, were visible outside the property.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police stated: “At 1:35 AM on May 12, the police were alerted by the London Fire Brigade regarding reports of a fire at a residential address. Officers responded promptly. The entrance of the property suffered damage, but luckily, no one was injured.”
A representative from the London Fire Brigade commented: “Firefighters were dispatched to a small fire outside a property in Kentish Town this morning. The call came in at 1:11 AM, and the fire was brought under control by 1:33 AM, with two fire engines from the Kentish Town station attending the scene.”
