Fenerbahçe is aiming to snatch midfielder Kevin De Bruyne from Napoli, as reported by journalist Gianluca Di Marzio on social media platform X.
According to Di Marzio, Fenerbahçe has surpassed the Italian club’s offer for the Belgian player’s transfer. Now, the athlete is seriously contemplating a move to Turkey to join José Mourinho’s side. It’s noted that De Bruyne’s future could be determined within the next few hours.
Previously, it was mentioned that De Bruyne and Napoli were finalizing the last details of the transfer.
De Bruyne’s contract with Manchester City is set to expire on June 30, after which he will become a free agent. He has been with the club since the summer of 2015, following his move from Wolfsburg, and has won 18 trophies with the team.
This season, the 33-year-old has scored six goals and provided eight assists in 40 matches for the club.
