LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Physique digicam footage launched by the Nye County Sheriff’s workplace exhibits the moments earlier than a deputy shot and killed a person Wednesday.
On Aug. 6, round 9:50 a.m. NCSO dispatch obtained a name reporting a suicidal man, recognized as Troy Plascencia, 36, who was tearing up the within of a trailer and was in possession of a sword, in keeping with the NCSO.
Round 10:20 a.m., NSCO Deputy Michael Quick arrived on the trailer and pounded on the skin to talk with Plascencia. Shortly after, Plascencia opened the door and fell down the steps onto the bottom whereas holding a machete, the footage confirmed.

As Plascencia stood up, Quick gave him a number of instructions to “put it down” and to “stay back.” Plascencia ignored the deputy’s instructions and informed him, “Shoot me.” He then raised the machete to his head and mentioned, “chest or the head.”
