Engineers from a Scottish college are teaming up with business to develop environmentally pleasant, biodegradable circuit boards to be used in wi-fi communication applied sciences.
The partnership between the College of Glasgow and Jiva Supplies goals to chop down on the digital waste produced by conventional printed circuit boards, or PCBs.
PCBs account for as much as 40% of the world’s waste electrical and digital tools. Typical PCBs, which use flame-retardant composites or ceramics, are unimaginable to recycle and are despatched to landfill.
