American schools and universities are increasingly more firing or punishing professors and different staff for what they are saying, whether or not it’s on social media or in the study room.
After the Sept. 10, 2025, killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, a number of universities, together with Iowa State College, Clemson College, Ball State College and others, fired or suspended staff for making unfavourable on-line feedback about Kirk.
