The head of Ferrari, **Frederic Vasseur**, commented that Lewis Hamilton’s emotional outburst during the radio communications following the sprint qualifying at the Qatar Grand Prix is not a worrying sign but rather a natural reaction.

“To be honest, his comments came just 10 minutes after the sprint qualifying. It was a challenging situation for both him and the team, and I completely understand his frustration. When he says he’s not thinking about 2026, it’s simply because he’s focused on the race at hand.

I see this as a positive. We need to make progress from where we currently stand, which is quite clear. We can’t be satisfied with finishing sixth or fifth. It’s important to channel that frustration into aggression. There’s nothing wrong with that; it’s a normal response from a driver who’s aiming for more,” Vasseur told The Judge 13.

Additionally, the publication reports that several figures in Maranello describe Lewis as “detached” and “halfway out the door.” Sources indicate that the spirited and eager rookie from the winter tests has transformed into someone who now moves around the facility looking tired, disillusioned, and increasingly skeptical that the project can be turned around in the right direction.

For context, after the first segment of the sprint qualifying, the seven-time world champion ended up in 18th place. Over the radio, he expressed that “the car cannot go any faster.”
