Ubisoft has announced the suspension of game servers and the in-game store for the online shooter Rainbow Six Siege. This decision comes in the wake of a significant hacking incident.
Players had previously reported receiving large amounts of in-game currency in their accounts unexpectedly. The hackers also granted free access to various in-game items, leading to some accounts being banned.
However, Ubisoft clarified that they will not penalize players for utilizing the free credits, and the recent bans are unrelated to this event. The company will also process refunds for all transactions made after the hack.
Ubisoft stated that they are making every effort to resolve this issue and restore access to Rainbow Six Siege for players. The timeline for when the servers will be back online is still uncertain.
