Las Vegas – A Nevada gambler collected a seven-figure payout after the Seattle Seahawks defeated the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC championship game.[1][2]

The unidentified bettor placed $50,000 wagers in August on the Seahawks to win the NFC at 28-1 odds with both BetMGM and Circa Sports.[1] Those bets cashed for $1.4 million when Seattle secured the conference title Sunday night.
Seattle entered the matchup as the top seed with the league’s best defense and a week of rest. The team covered as 2½-point favorites and pushed the game total over 46 points by halftime.[1]
Seahawks Overcome Rams in Thriller
The Seahawks prevailed 31-27 over the Rams at Lumen Field. The victory advanced Seattle to Super Bowl 60 against the New England Patriots.[3]
Las Vegas sportsbooks rooted for the outcome. Red Rock Resort sportsbook director Chuck Esposito noted his team’s preference for Seattle throughout the playoffs. “In back-to-back weeks now, we were huge Seahawks fans against the 49ers and we were huge Seahawks fans against the Rams,” Esposito said. “They backed the other team in those games, although the Seahawks were the well-rested team, the No. 1 seed and they’ve got the top defense.”[1]
Westgate vice president of race and sports John Murray echoed the sentiment. “We got the results we wanted. We got the Rams out of there,” he said.[1]
