Earlier this week, Toyota launched its subsequent technology Highland three-row SUV, and to the shock of many, it’s a battery-electric car — not a light hybrid or plug-in hybrid. That shocked lots of people as a result of Toyota has been a laggard within the electrical automobile house for years.

Motor Development had some ideas on Toyota’s determination to introduce a battery solely model of the Highlander.
