Las Vegas – A Virginia woman triggered an outpouring of support for a two-year-old goldendoodle after she tied the dog to airport equipment and walked away to catch her flight.[1][2]

On February 2, 2026, around 11:30 p.m., Germiran Bryson, 26, approached the JetBlue ticket counter at Harry Reid International Airport with her golden doodle/mini poodle mix in tow. The airline employee explained that the dog was not registered as a passenger and required online paperwork for travel, possibly as a service animal. Bryson responded sharply, declaring, “Call animal control. I’m not going to miss my flight.” She secured the leash to a metal carry-on baggage sizer and headed toward her departure gate.[1]
Airport staff alerted authorities as the scene unfolded. The dog, later nicknamed JetBlue, waited alone amid the bustle of late-night travelers.
