Pahrump, Nev. – Tension gripped Sheri’s Ranch brothel on a Saturday afternoon when a 71-year-old resident unleashed shotgun fire at the property’s gate and entrance.[1][2]
The Sudden Outburst at Sheri’s Ranch
Deputies received a call around 4:30 p.m. on February 28 reporting an elderly man carrying a shotgun on the premises. The individual, dressed in a gray shirt and white flip-flops, first targeted the north gate. Witnesses noted he appeared intent on blasting the lock mechanism.[1]
After the initial shots, the man returned to his white Dodge Charger, which featured tinted windows and a temporary license plate. He retrieved additional ammunition from the trunk before approaching the bar entrance on the building’s west side. There, he discharged another round directly into the front door. Staff inside promptly locked the doors and ushered patrons away from the exposed area.
Deputies Neutralize the Threat
Responding officers arrived swiftly to the far south end of Homestead Road, where Sheri’s Ranch operates near the California border. One deputy spotted the suspect still gripping a black shotgun as he moved toward the front of the building. A second officer joined, and they issued clear commands to drop the weapon and lie on the ground.
