FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.—His first thought was that one in all his buddies was enjoying an elaborate prank.
Alex Bono was in transit when his cellphone rang and confirmed an unfamiliar quantity: “I had simply gotten off the airplane in St. Louis and was headed to the Missouri Athletic Membership shuttle and I used to be like, ‘Who the hell do I know in Orange County, California?’ I answered the cellphone and he says ‘Alex, it’s Jurgen Klinsmann.’”
And that’s when Bono, who signed a Technology Adidas take care of Main League Soccer after three excellent seasons because the goalkeeper at Syracuse, began searching for the hidden cameras.
“At first I stated, ‘Stop, you’re pulling my leg. You’re messing with me, proper?’ However he stated, ‘No, this is actually Jurgen.’ I nonetheless didn’t consider him till he began speaking intimately concerning the camp. Then I began shaking. It was one thing not like something I skilled earlier than.
“It was that cool.”
