The trailer for Alejandro G. Iñarrítu’s Digger units the movie’s tone immediately: Tom Cruise, sporting unsettling outdated man prosthetics, cuddles an equally outdated white cat in mattress and feeds it a little bit of sauce off his pinkie finger. “Take a bit of style for Daddy,” he says, seated in his spectacular residence. Then, when the cat rejects it, he eats it himself. If that sight totally disgusts you, you is probably not prepared for the remainder of this trailer — or, for that matter, the film.
Digger, the trailer exhibits, follows Cruise within the titular function, Digger Rockwell. He’s a billionaire CEO whose carelessness concerning the setting results in an impending, costly catastrophe. He’s joined by John Goodman because the disgruntled president of the US. At one level, Goodman seems to be main an air strike on an iceberg earlier than immediately falling asleep.
