Local squads faced tough competition, including out-of-state rivals, resulting in dramatic wins, mercy-rule routs and defensive masterclasses. Baseball Delivers Thrills and Blowouts

Coronado survived a high-scoring affair against Fallbrook from California, securing a 12-11 victory. Hudson Jones led the charge with a 3-for-4 performance that included a home run and five RBIs. The win highlighted the Cougars’ resilience in a back-and-forth battle.

Other notable baseball results featured shutouts and lopsided scores. Arbor View blanked Sierra Vista 9-0, while Durango topped Roosevelt from California 3-0.
