Keyrol Figueroa’s impressive time with Liverpool’s youth teams have earned him a first professional contract.
Figueroa signed with the Reds first team on Tuesday, continuing an impressive rise with the franchise. The 17-year-old forward originally joined Liverpool’s Under-14 squad and has worked his way up the ranks since.
Figueroa has featured in the U-18 Premier League since the 2021-22 campaign, totaling seven goals and five assists in 23 combined appearances. The Honduran-born forward has also featured in the FA Youth Cup and the UEFA Youth League with Liverpool.
The son of former Honduran international Maynor, Keyrol has made 14 appearances for the U.S. Under-17 men’s national team. Figueroa scored seven goals for the USMNT U-17’s at the 2023 CONCACAF U-17 Championship, helping the Americans reach the tournament final.
Figueroa later featured in all of the U-17’s matches at the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup, scoring once in a 2-1 win over Burkina Faso.
Liverpool’s U-18 team has its final match on Saturday against Derby County.
